The Job Readiness Program is made possible in part through an 18-month contract with the Florida Department of Education Division of Blind Services and is funded by the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act of 2009 (ARRA). The purpose of the program is to provide job readiness training to clients with vision loss to enable them to more effectively seek, secure, and maintain employment.
Participants in the program will:
- Create Resumes
- Write cover letters
- Set up an email account
- Use the internet to search employment sites
- Create an employee profile
- Improve interview skills
All participants in Job Readiness may also attend Job Club, which meets every other Friday.
